George Clooney Returns To ER Tonight?

Rumors are that George Clooney will have his long awaited return to ER on the episode airing tonight:

In January he was photographed on the ER set filming what – at the time – producers thought would be the last ever episode of the show.

But The Guardian reported television industry rumours that three extra episodes have since been added, bringing forward the broadcast of Clooney’s return.

It has also been reported that an ER spin-off is planned, starring John Stamos. A source told the National Enquirer:

“This spin-off is the network’s secret weapon, and they’re hoping it will draw a new generation of viewers. Everything’s under tight wraps. The script is still untitled and is being worked on as The John Stamos Project.”

Many will probably disagree with me but I’m a little bit tired of all these hospital dramas. It would be cool though to see Clooney’s return to ER.

George Clooney to Meet Privately with President Obama Next Week

George Clooney managed to schedule a private meeting next week with President Barack Obama, according to Female First. As a United Nations messenger of peace, Clooney plans to talk about Darfur crisis and inquire about what can be done to stop the violence and bloodshed that have impacted so many innocent people. Clooney said:

“We want him (Obama) to appoint a high-level, full-time diplomat to negotiate and work hard every day for a peace treaty.

I was here three years ago and in some ways there’s not a whole lot of difference. It’s sort of status quo. The problem is that the status quo is unacceptable.”

I certainly hope that President Obama can do something to help end the killing, however, Obama has quite a bit on his plate at the moment. I wouldn’t want to be in his shoes with the state of the US economy right now.
