Parents Wanted Brad Pitt To Dump Angelina Jolie
Brad Pitt’s parents want him to dump partner Angelina Jolie — and have urged him to get back with former wife Jennifer Aniston, it has been claimed.
The actor’s mom, Jane Pitt, is said to dislike Jolie; and feels the only way her son can lead a normal life is to leave the “Changeling” beauty, with whom he raises six children.
“[Brad's parents] sat him down and basically told him she’s trouble and no good,” an insider said. “They urged him not to bring her to Cannes. Brad’s mother Jane is sick about what’s going on and has not been able to sleep well.
“Jane would like nothing more than for Brad and Jen to reunite.”
Pitt is said to be back in contact with Aniston, who he divorced in 2005 after five years of marriage.
Jennifer Aniston’s “Horrible” Breakup Story
Jennifer Aniston’s most famous split is from Brad Pitt — but that’s not the breakup she calls “horrible” in a new interview.
“I broke up with a guy and he tried to get back together with me by bringing his mother to a restaurant I worked at and getting down on one knee in the middle of the restaurant,” Aniston, 40, tells USA Today while promoting her new flick, Management (out Friday).
“The whole restaurant started applauding and I was like, ‘Get up!’ It was horrible,” Aniston laughs.
In her new romantic comedy with Steve Zahn, she plays Sue, a career woman who secretly dreams of quitting her job and opening a soup kitchen.
What would Aniston do if she wasn’t acting?
“That’s such a tough question. I would say, probably something in the health industry. It’s too late to go to medical school,” she says. “I’d travel. I’d go back to the years that I never did what I’d wish I’d done, which was travel Europe and backpack. That sounds slightly romantic.”
After more thought, Aniston continues: “What I would do? I don’t know. Maybe become a chef.”
There would be perks of not being famous.
“Would I love a level of anonymity? Sure, there are times I’d love to take a moment. But that’s lonely,” Aniston says. “It seems like a lonely existence that [Sue] has made and convinced herself that it’s comfortable.
“There’s so much more to do. It’s almost overwhelming,” she says of her work. “I’ve gotten to a great place in my career. ”
She’s more selective of her roles now, though.
“It’s so much of our time. It’s all you’re doing. You go home, go to bed, learn your lines, go to bed, wake up, go do the movie,” Aniston muses.
“You’ve got to really love the project. I just left home after I built up my house for 2 1/2 years. I moved in for a month and now I’m here,” she continues. “I don’t want to do the same thing over and over. It’s not about, ‘Oh, it’s going to be a big hit.’ I don’t want to do that.”
But when she does get away, Aniston loves a trip to Mexico — regardless of swine flu fears.
“I’d suffer through that that and put a mask on,” she jokes.
Jennifer Aniston Betrayed By Her Best Friend?
When Brad Pitt split up with Jennifer Aniston and started dating his Mr. & Mrs. Smith co-star Angelina Jolie in early 2005, no one was more loyal to Jen than Courteney Cox. She comforted her pal as any best friend would and shunned the man who broke Jen’s heart.
Even Courteney’s husband, actor David Arquette, took Jen’s side and bad-mouthed Brad, telling Howard Stern in a radio interview that Brad “did some stuff that hurt our friend.” David also implied that Brad and Jen would never have divorced had it not been for Brad’s romance with Angelina.
But Courteney and David’s attitude toward Jen’s ex seems to have softened recently. On May 3, the couple got chummy with Brad at the dinner party of a mutual friend before meeting up backstage at a Chris Cornell concert at LA’s Wiltern theater, where the group reportedly spent time laughing about the old days. Plus, Courteney and David reportedly approached Brad and Angelina at the 2007 Golden Globe Awards (Jen was not in attendance), giving him a warm greeting — and even saying hello to Angie! Jen, according to reports, was furious about it.
But the friendship may still be able to bounce back. Jen’s in NYC filming the comedy The Baster, but when she gets back, “she and Courteney can make up for lost time and repair the damage,” says an insider. “If they can’t do that before Jen has to leave town again for her next project, things won’t get better. They’ll get much, much worse.”

Angelina Jolie reportedly threw Brad Pitt out of their home after learning of his renewed friendship with Jennifer Aniston.
The gossip sphere has been abuzz with rumors that Brad has turned to his former wife as his relationship with Angelina reaches breaking point.
And now it’s claimed Angelina is far from happy with the latest developments.
After hearing that the pair were back in contact, the Changeling actress is alleged to have had Brad’s belongings taken to a nearby hotel, where she had booked a suite in his name.
“Angie went mad and told Brad not to bother coming back,” according to an insider.
The insider continued: “She told him he’d humiliated her for the last time and that if he wanted to go back to his boring shallow life with Jen, that was fine by her.”
Angelina is also said to be angry about Brad’s meeting with Jen’s pal Courteney Cox at a recent Chris Cornell concert in Los Angeles.
“She can’t stand any of Jen’s inner circle,” added by a source.

Jennifer Aniston was in a playful mood as she made a rare off-set appearance in New York.
The actress has been keeping a low profile while in the city shooting new movie The Baster, but decided to brave the outside world on Tuesday.
Dressed in a unusual outfit of casual combats teamed with a smart black jacket and hat, Jen was all smiles as she strolled in sunshine, minders in tow.
She was also spotted wearing a shawl to cover herself up after filming a rock climbing scene in her new film The Baster on Monday (May 11) in New York City.
The 40-year-old actress recently had a kissing scene with co-star Jason Bateman. He said, “It felt … It was a good scene, I’ll say that. It was a good scene.”
Although Jason and Jen had been friends “for a long time,” “It’s nice to finally work together,” he told People. “I think we just had one scene in The Break-Up. It’s been a lot of fun.”
